Visit Kamakura in early spring on Sunday, March 5!
東京外国語大学留学生支援の会
早春の古都鎌倉を訪れ、その歴史、景観、味覚、自然を体験し、楽しむ日帰り旅行です。
鎌倉は12世紀末、日本で最初の武士政権の首都としてつくられました。19世紀まで続いた武士階級が支配する社会の政治や文化の基礎が形成された、代表的な歴史的都市です。海と山に囲まれた美しい自然景観に囲まれ、神社や寺院など多くの史跡と伝統的町並みがあります。
3月5日には、10時に鎌倉駅に集合し、以下のコースをまわって16時に人気スポット小町通りで解散します。参加者相互の交流を深めるため、小グループに分かれて行動します。交通費、入場料、食費の大部分は支援の会が補助するので、参加費1000円を支払うだけで、鎌倉を楽しむことができます。日本人学生の参加も歓迎します。

（２）フォームを送信したら、支援の会連絡室で参加費1000円を支払ってください。締切２月21日
（３）以上で参加受付は完了です。3月5日10時に鎌倉駅に集まってください。

One day Visit Kamakura in early spring
on Sunday, March 5!
Tokyo University of Foreign Studies International Student Support association(ISSA)
We offer a one-day trip to the old medieval city of Kamakura in early spring to experience and enjoy its history, urban landscape, taste, and beautiful nature.
Kamakura was established at the end of the 12th century as the capital of the first samurai government in Japan. It is a representative historical city in Japan where the political and cultural foundations of a society by the samurai class were formed that lasted until the 19th century. Surrounded by beautiful natural scenery of sea and mountains, the city has many historical sites such as shrines and temples, as well as traditional townscapes.
On March 5, participants will gather at Kamakura Station at 10:00 a.m., tour the following course, and disband at 4:00 p.m. at the popular Komachi Street. Participants will be divided into small groups in order to deepen mutual exchange. ISSA will subsidize most of the transportation, admission, and food costs, so you only need to pay the participation fee of 1,000 yen to enjoy Kamakura. Japanese students are also welcome to participate.

2月17日 深大寺ウォーキング
Let's walk to Jindaiji on February 17th
深大寺まで1時間ほど歩き、伝統的な寺院や仏像を見学し、おいしい深大寺そばを食べ、さらに広い植物公園で梅や熱帯植物を鑑賞する半日ウォーキングです。参加費は無料です。参加者には昼食などの費用として1000円を補助します。
あなたは深大寺を知っていますか？
東京外国語大学から徒歩1時間ほどでいける、歴史と自然を体験できる場所です。
733年に建立された、東京都で2番目に古い仏教寺院です。
関東地方で最古の国宝の仏像があります。
さまざまな色、サイズのダルマが売られています。
日本の代表的な麺料理である「そば」が有名で、多くのそば店があります。
寺の隣には広大な東京都立植物公園があり、今なら梅の花を楽しめます。

Let's walk to Jindaiji on February 17th
This half-day walking tour includes a one-hour walk to Jindaiji Temple, a visit to a traditional temple and Buddhist statues, a taste of delicious soba noodles, and a visit to the botanical park to view plum trees and tropical plants. Participants will be subsidized 1,000 yen for lunch and other expenses.
Do you know Jindaiji Temple?
It is a place where you can experience history and nature within an hour's walk from TUFS.
Founded in 733, it is the second oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo.
It has the oldest Buddhist statue in the Kanto region.
Dharma dolls of various sizes are sold.
It is also famous for soba, a typical Japanese noodle dish, and is home to many soba restaurants.
Next to the temple is the spacious Tokyo Metropolitan Botanical Garden, where you can enjoy the plum blossoms now.

留学生の皆さん
日本でのコロナ感染は大きく減少しています。とはいえ、いつになれば以前の生活に戻れるかはわかりません。私たちは現在も制約された生活を強いられています。留学生の皆さんも、学習や研究、友人や家族とのコミュニケーション、日常の生活において様々な困難や不便さに直面しながら、日本留学の目的を達成するために奮闘していることでしょう。
そんな皆さんの、留学生としてのコロナ体験を様々な視点から文章にして、支援の会に届けてください。私たちはそれを支援の会のこれからの活動の参考にするとともに、会の会報やホームページに掲載して、学内外の多くの人に伝えていきます。

第3回 コロナ下での留学生生活調査

留学生の皆さん 支援の会の留学生生活調査に協力してください！
私たち留学生支援の会では、3年間に及ぶコロナ禍と最近の国際的な物価高騰の下での皆さんの生活状態を知るために質問票による調査を行います。調査で得た情報は、支援の会の今後の活動の参考資料として活用します。
今回で3回目の調査になります。
これまでに回答しなかった方は、ぜひ回答してください。
昨年回答した方も、質問はほぼ同じですが、1年後の現在の状態を回答してください。
回答者には、協力へのお礼として、先着100名に「コロナに負けるな！生活応援券」（1000円分QUOカード）を差し上げます。
１ 今回の調査の対象者
１）東京外国語大学に在籍する外国人留学生であって、
２）2022年4月1日以前に日本での留学生活を開始している者。

We, ISSA will conduct a questionnaire survey to find out about your living conditions under the three years of the corona crisis and the recent rise in international prices. The information obtained from this survey will be used as reference material for future activities of the support group.

ポストコロナ時代の留学生の学び継続を支援する生活給付金
東京外国語大学で学んでいる留学生のみなさん
コロナ禍は収束に向かいつつありますが、国際的なインフレーションの影響もあり、生活の困難や不便を抱えている学生が増えています。特に、充分な奨学金をもらっていない私費留学生、育児のためあまりアルバイトが出来ない女性留学生の生活困窮が心配です。
このような留学生の学びの継続を支援するため、3万円の生活給付金を支給します。
生活に困っている留学生は、「申請書」に必要事項を記載して申し込んでください。
申請書を審査したうえで、給付金の必要性の高い学生30名程度に3万円の給付金を支給します。返済する必要はありません。
申請できる留学生
東京外国語大学の学部・大学院に在学し、日本国内に居住している外国人留学生で、以下のAもしくはBの条件に該当する者。
A 以下の（１）（２）の条件を満たす者。
（１）日本政府奨学金（国費奨学金）あるいは月額12万円以上のその他の奨学金を受給していない。
（２）コロナ禍のためアルバイト収入、家族からの送金が減少して、生活に困っている。
B 女性留学生で育児のために必要なアルバイトが出来ず、生活に困っている者。
申請方法
所定の「申請書」に必要事項を正確に記載して提出する
（１）提出期日 2022年12月5日（月）～19日（月）。 最終日18：00まで。
（２）提出先 東京外国語大学留学生支援の会 生活給付金担当

支給者の選考
（１）選考委員会が申請書を審査し、給付金支給者を決定します

給付金の支給
（１）支給者には2023年1月15日までに「決定通知」メールを送信します。
（２）通知を受け取った学生は、必要な書類を、1月19日（木）11時～13時に、支援の会連絡室に提出してください。
（３）提出した学生の指定口座に給付金を振り込みます。
支給者の義務
給付金の支給を受けた留学生は、以下の報告等を提出しなければなりません。
（１）「コロナ禍のもとで自分の留学生活はどう変化したか、それにどう対応したか」（仮題）についての報告文

（２）「給付金を何に使用したか」についての報告

Livelihood Benefits for International Students to Support Continuous Study in The Post-Corona Era

Dear all international students studying at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies,
The coronavirus crisis is coming to an end, but due to the impact of international inflation, many students are likely to have difficulties and inconveniences in their lives. In particular, we are concerned about the impoverishment of privately financed international students who do not receive sufficient scholarships, and female international students who cannot work part-time due to childcare.
In order to support such international students in continuing their studies, we will provide a Livelihood benefit of 30,000 yen.
International students who are having trouble making a living can fill out the "Application Form" and apply.
After reviewing the application, the 30,000 yen benefit will be provided to about 30 students who are in high need. There is no need to repay.
International Students Eligible to Apply
International students who are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate course at TUFS and reside in Japan, and who meet the following conditions A or B.
A. Applicants must meet the following conditions (1) and (2).
(1) You are not a recipient of a Japanese government scholarship (government-sponsored scholarship) or any other scholarship of 120,000 yen or more per month.
(2) Due to the Corona disaster, your part-time job income and remittances from your family have decreased, and you are having trouble making ends meet.
B. Female international students who are unable to find a part-time job for childcare and are having trouble living.
How to apply
Fill out the prescribed "Application Form" (click to download) accurately and submit it.
(1) Submission date: Must arrive no later than 18:00 on Monday, Desember19,2022.
(2) Submission address: TUFS-ISSA / Livelihood Benefits Team

(3) How to submit: Send an e-mail with the application form attached to the above e-mail address (the e-mail should be titled "Application for Benefits").
(4) A confirmation email will be sent to the submitter. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 3 days, please email isstufs@outlook.jp.
Selection of recipients
(1) The selection committee will review the application and decide who will receive the benefits.
(2) Questions may be asked by e-mail or phone if necessary for the screening process.
Payment of benefits
(1) A "decision notification" will be sent to the recipients by January 15, 2023.
(2) Students who receive the notification must submit the necessary documents to ISSA Contact Room between 11:00 and 13:00 on January 19, 2023.
(3) Benefits will be transferred to the designated account of the students who submitted the documents.
Obligations of the Beneficiary
International students who receive the benefits must submit the following reports.
(1) Report on "How has your life as an international student changed under the COVID-19 pandemic, and how have you dealt with it?" (tentative title)
(1500 characters or more, by February 10, 2023)
(2) Report on "What you used the benefit money for"
(by March 30, 2023)

BUNRAKU is a representative traditional puppet theater of Japan which is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

And an English lecture for beginners will help you understand. This is a special program for foreigners that is performed only a few days a year.

6. How to participate
(1) If you would like to participate, please fill out and submit the Application Form.
Deadline: October 21
(2) We will notify you by e-mail whether or not you can participate.
(3) After receiving the reception notice, please pay the participation fee of 1,000 yen and receive the admission ticket at the ISSA Contact Room.
Payment Term: From November 28th to December 2nd
Our Contact Room is open every day from 11:40 to 15:40 during this period.
(4) Come to the National Theater with your admission ticket by 6:00 on December 12th.

We, The International Student Support Association welcome all of you from the bottom of our hearts, and will hold a welcome party on Sunday, October 23rd as place for networking and information exchange between international students, Japanese students, and ISSA staffs. 東京外国語大学留学生支援の会
1.目的
本学大学院（修士課程・博士課程）留学生の研究推進に資するため、主として論文作成に関わる研究成果を、国際学会または日本国内の学会（研究発表大会等）に出席し発表する留学生に対し、その旅費の一部を助成する。
2.留学生の範囲と申請期限
（申請対象者） 大学院 修士課程 在籍者
博士課程 在籍者
（申請期限）２０２２年7月１５日（金）15時までに留学生支援の会室（国際交流会館2号館1階）
に申請書類を提出してください。
＜注-1＞初めて申請する方を優先します。予算に満たない場合は、上記期限後2度目以降の申請の方も受け付けます。

①海外で開催される国際学会
②日本で開催される学会（国際学会及び国内学会）

交通費および宿泊費の助成
上記３－①の場合 ５０，０００円

Let’s Enjoy KABUKI!
Dear international Students,
We will hold a Kabuki appreciation event after a two-year hiatus due to Corona infection.
Kabuki is a traditional theater that represents Japanese culture and is registered as a UNESCO World Intangible Heritage.
"But my Japanese is not...". No Problem. You can enjoy watching and listening to colorful costumes, makeup, unique actions and music. In addition, Earphone commentary in English is available. A brief beginner's lecture will help you understand. And after appreciation you can ask questions and exchange impressions about Kabuki while enjoying coffee and so on.
Most of the cost of this Gorgeous program is subsidized by ISSA, so you can participate for only 500 yen. Japanese students can also participate.
